75 Creative Minds of Tomorrow

The ‘75 Creative Minds of Tomorrow’ is a one-of-its-kind initiative by the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) which aims to recognize and foster a community of young and passionate filmmakers from across the country. Launched to mark the 75 years of Indian Independence, the program, already in its second year, is now an annual talent enrichment segment of IFFI.
With an endeavor to identify, encourage, and nurture 75 young creative talents in various aspects of filmmaking, this unique program gives an opportunity to the chosen creative minds of the country to learn from the best of world cinema, interact with like-minded individuals, and network with industry experts at India’s largest International film festival.

Prasoon Joshi

Shri. Prasoon Joshi is a two-time National Film Award-winning lyricist, poet, writer and screenwriter, and also the current chairperson of CBFC. He has also won the notable Padma Shri and coveted international awards, including Golden Lions at Cannes, and being named the Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum.

Resul Pookutty

The program is an amazing way to find and nurture young minds to look beyond the edge of the world and pursue their ambitions through cinema; to convey their own stories to effect good change & establish a better society. Most essential, a chance to take part in IFFI 2022, one of the most renowned film festivals in India
R Balki

R Balki

Shri. R Balki is one of leading members of India’s filmmaking fraternity. Apart from making nationally acclaimed films, Shri Balki has also worked as the chairman and creative head of Lowe Lintas, an advertising agency. Since 2011, he, along with his wife, Smt. Gauri Shinde, spearheads Hope Productions.
Rickey Kej

Ricky Kej

A two-time Grammy Award Winner who has been a US Billboard #1 artist, Shri. Kej is an internationally renowned Music Composer and Environmentalist who has won 100+ music awards in 20 countries.. His most notable work was composing and producing “Shanti Samsara”. The album was launched by Shri. Narendra Modi, and Shri. Francois Hollande, in the presence of World Leaders at the United Nations COP21 Climate Change Conference in Paris.
Mala Dey Banthia

Mala Dey

I am honoured to be a part of the grand jury, where young creative talents will be given a mere 53 hours to make a complete short film from an idea to its execution. We will be able to witness the participants put all their abilities to the test, from their teamwork to their composure. Their objective will matter the most, and that’s what will trickle down to the minute details that will appear on the screen.
I would like to thank Anurag Singh Thakur, the Information & Broadcasting minister, for taking this initiative, NFDC, and ShortsTV for giving such an important platform for new talent to have a voice.

Gautami Tadimalla

An award winning actor and costume designer, Smt. Gautami Tadimalla is an acclaimed actor of the 1980s and 1990s having acted in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi and Kannada movies. She has worked on television, in serials and as a talk show host, and founded the Life Again Foundation in 2016 to benefit the disadvantaged people, in collaboration with Smt. Hyma Reddy.
Ballu Saluja

Ballu Saluja

Shri. Ballu Saluja is an award-winning film editor bringing 20+ years experience of working in the Indian Film Industry, TV series, Advertisements, documentaries and Audio-Visual films. Also, he has edited a Chinese Film, “YI HE BU XI BAAN (Looking Up)”. In 2018, he was the only film editor from India to be selected by the Academy Awards (Oscars) to be a member of the Editors’ group.
Munjal Shroff

Munjal Shroff

Munjal is a creator, animation producer and director with 27 years of experience across the entire spectrum of animation, gaming and VFX. His selfless contribution to the cause of producing original Indian content has won him many accolades and was also honored as the Toon Titan of Asia by Animation Magazine, USA. He also serves as the Co-Chairman of FICCI AVGC Forum and an Advisory Board member of Media and Entertainment Skill Council.
Narendra Rahurikar

Narendra Rahurikar

Veteran production designer in the film and television industry with innumerable blockbuster films to boast. Narendra Rahurikar is also the Managing Director of D’fine Art Pvt. Ltd., the leading design firm in Mumbai.
Ravi K Chandran

Ravi K Chandran

Shri. Ravi K. Chandran, a multi-award winner cinematographer is a veteran of the Malayalam, Tamil and Bollywood film industries. The recognition of Shri Ravi K. Chandran’s work has transcended boundaries, as he was India’s only nominee for the prestigious Camerimage Golden Frog Award

Pranitha Subhash

Pranitha Subhash is a leading film actress who has worked in more than 20 films in the Kannada, Telugu and Tamil industries and has recently made her Bollywood debut. She was awarded the status of alumnus by Harvard Kennedy School in 2020.

Aimee Baruah

Acting should be natural, instinctive and unforced. Sanford Meisner wonderfully encapsulates the idea through his iconic quote, “Acting is behaving truthfully under imaginary circumstances.

Dhvani Desai

The Creative Minds for Tomorrow is an excellent initiative for nurturing young minds to go beyond the horizon and chase their dreams through Cinema. An opportunity to tell their original stories which can bring a positive change in society through their creativity and create a new world.

Deepak Singh

This will also help the young and budding filmmakers to connect with the global masters of cinema and move forward in their fields of creativity. My best wishes to everyone who is taking part in this great initiative.

75 CMOT is a great initiative to identify and encourage young and budding talents. They were able to showcase their work on a larger platform.
