In a comic-drama, the Absurd also makes sense. Paula believes she is playing a supporting role in her own life, but she still has to give her final exams where she will be playing the lead. No one around Paula has any idea what the problem is, so she has to try and find a solution for herself. She sets off on a road that takes her not only into her family’s past, but into a world of outtakes and illicit dealers.

Sophie Linnenbaum (b. 1986, Nuremberg). She studied Psychology and worked as a playwright before beginning her film studies at the Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf. Her short films such as ‘Pix’, ‘Das Mensch’ (2019) or ‘Väter Unser’ (2021) have won numerous awards at national and international festivals.
