राजाकन्नू और सेनगेनी एक दलित इरूला जनजाति के युगल हैं जो ज़मींदार के यहां खेतों में चूहे को नियंत्रित करने और जहरीले सांपो को पकड़ने का काम करते हैं। राजाकन्नू को एक अमीर के घर पर सांप पकड़ने के लिए बुलाया जाता है। अगले दिन उसके खिलाफ चोरी का मामला दर्ज हो जाता है। पुलिस उसकी गर्भवती पत्नी को बुरी तरह पीटती है और गैरकानूनी तरीके से हिरासत में ले लेती है। बाद में वह राजाकन्नू को भी गिरफ्तार कर लेते हैं। बाद में सेंगिनी मानव अधिकार वकील चंद्रू की सहायता लेती है जो उन्हें न्याय दिलाने के लिए चौकानें वाले तथ्य सामने लाता है।

Rajakannu and Sengeni are a couple from the oppressed Irula tribe who labour in the fields of upper caste men to control rat infestation and catch venomous snakes. Rajakannu is called to a rich man’s dwelling to catch a snake. The next day, a case of burglary is reported against him. The police brutally beat and unlawfully detain the pregnant Sengeni. Later they imprison Rajakannu. Sengini turns to human-rights lawyer Chandru, who makes shocking discoveries to help them get justice.
